He who rejects change is the architect of decay. The only human institution which rejects progress is the cemetery. ~Harold Wilson
I wonder how many of us really are able to see beyond ourselves. Each day it is about reaching my office, getting that so important promotion, family-friends and the list of tasks is endless all surrounding ME alone.
I conclude that the phases of life for all are same the only difference is how long we remain in each phase some choose to be in the initial phase for long and some reach the ultimate sooner. We all but by nature are made to conclude that change is the ultimate truth and material gain the ultimate myth.
All most all of us spend 90% of our lives thinking about us and things that surround us. How ironic it is that the pleasure that one derives from these activities is only 10%.
In my college days I wondered why would anybody sacrifice their life for somebody else (In most cases that somebody does not even recognizes the fact.)
I am talking about the social workers and the underprivileged for whom the work is done.
So may people work for these sections of society and almost 90% of their battle is to create awareness and participation because the people for whom they work are settled in their position and resist any sort of change.
The NGO's working in rural parts of Rajasthan for women’s education are faced with huge bottlenecks as the women themselves do not feel that they need education.
NGo's working for child education face challenge as the parents feel that the economic worth of having that child is equal to the labor that the child provides in the fields or the economic support that is achieved by making the child work.
I have come across many parents who feel that it is a waste of time to let their kids study as even after studying they will be forced to do the same kind of work that they do when they are not educated.
The point here is how beautiful human mind is in deceiving!
Man learns to accept and survive in any derogatory state of life .We feel comfortable where we are. I ponder how many more life’s and how many more struggles before we are genuinely able to enlighten the weaker minds.
That is the only way to get change and make any social movement successful .May god bless us all to reach there.
Society cannot do any good to anybody unless the underprivileged are enlightened to see well in the changes and social movements.
All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another. ~Anatole France
Without accepting the fact that everything changes, we cannot find perfect composure. But unfortunately, although it is true, it is difficult for us to accept it. Because we cannot accept the truth of transience, we suffer. ~Shunryu Suzuki
